Cookie policy

The snowglobe.ro website uses no cookies. The only thing it saves in your browser is a temporary technical note, containing no personal data, used when you switch language and deleted automatically as soon as the new page loads (details below). We use no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or scripts from other companies. We consider the note strictly necessary for the feature you request by clicking, and therefore exempt from consent (Article 4(6)(b) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004), which is why we do not show a cookie banner.

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB) and tracking pixels.

Under Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004, which transposes Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, a website may store information on your device, or access information already stored there, only with your consent, given after you have received clear and comprehensive information. Under paragraph (6), the exceptions are operations carried out solely to transmit a communication over an electronic communications network and those strictly necessary for the provision of an information society service you have explicitly requested.

• Cookies: none — neither our own nor those of other companies. The server that receives the forms does not set cookies either.
• Local storage in the browser: we use neither localStorage nor IndexedDB; sessionStorage (the memory of the open tab) is used only when you switch language, for the note described below.
• Fonts: hosted on our own server; nothing is loaded from Google Fonts or other external sources.
• Third-party scripts and content: none; the pages make no requests to other servers.
• Language switch: when you press RO · HU · EN, in browsers that animate the transition between pages (View Transitions), the current page leaves a technical note, “sg-lang-handoff”, of at most a few hundred characters in the tab’s memory (sessionStorage): the address of the requested page, the time of the click, the section you were viewing and the position of the decorative animations. The page in the chosen language uses it to open at the same place, without a jump, with the decorative animations carrying on from where they left off; every page of the website reads and deletes the note as soon as it loads. If the new page does not finish loading, the note stays only in that tab and is deleted by the next page of this website opened in it. The note contains no personal data, does not identify you and is never sent to our server; no language preference is saved — each language has its own address, and the language changes even without the note. We consider this storage strictly necessary for the feature you request by clicking (the page opens in the new language at the same place), and therefore exempt from consent (Article 4(6)(b) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004).
• The contact form and the booking tool send data only to our server; our privacy policy explains what happens to it.

As with any website, your browser may temporarily keep copies of the website’s public files (images, fonts, styles, scripts) so that pages load faster on your next visit; our server only tells it how long it may keep them. These copies are the same for every visitor, contain no data about you and cannot be used to recognise or track you.

Some links (for example those to our portfolio projects or to the ANPC platform) lead to external websites, which may use their own cookies. Such cookies are governed by the policies of the websites concerned.

You can check and delete the cookies and data saved by websites at any time:

• in the privacy section of your browser settings, where you can clear cookies and site data;
• by blocking third-party cookies, or all cookies, in the same settings;
• by using a private (incognito) window, whose session data the browser deletes when you close it;
• in the browser’s developer tools (F12 key, Application or Storage tab), which show exactly what each website stores — for this website the lists are empty once a page has loaded; only at the moment you switch language may the “sg-lang-handoff” note described above appear briefly in Session Storage.
